Coach Laura

from professional player to performance specialist

Laura Chahrour González brings a complete understanding of the game, from high-level playing experience to performance development.

Her background combines competition, international experience, and a strong focus on discipline, consistency, and long-term development.

Laura built her experience on the court competing at a high level across multiple environments.

  • Spain, competing in Liga Femenina 2 (Women’s Div. II).

  • Switzerland, Swiss Basketball League Women (Div. I)

  • International experience in Lebanon

During her time in Switzerland, she made a strong impact in the top division, showcasing her ability to perform consistently at a high level (averaging 15.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists).

CCSA first became aware of Laura during her time playing in Switzerland.

At that stage, we were looking to have her come train with Coach Chris. Although it didn’t happen at the time, the connection remained.

She later joined CCSA as a certified coach and has been part of the environment ever since.

Laura has since transitioned into performance development, focusing on physical preparation and athlete development.

She is currently working as a Strength & Conditioning Coach with Morges-Saint-Prex Red Devils (NLB), where she is responsible for the physical preparation of players within a competitive national-level structure.

At the same time, she continues to be actively involved within CCSA throughout the year, contributing to the development environment and performance structure.

She is also the author of “Dirigiendo la cancha (2024)”, where she shares her journey as a player and reflects on the importance of discipline, consistency, and mindset in long-term development.
